The Committee on Transport and Communications is studying cost-benefit analysis in the transport sector with a particular focus on sustainable development. They therefore turned, inter alia, to CERE's Runar Brännlund and Bengt Kriström who've written plenty about the methods and because "CERE is an important player in this context" says Anna Wagman Kåring.

"By 2030, the Swedish goals for energy efficiency and renewable energy should be removed and replaced by one climate objective. Climate policy cost increases with more objectives then what you really want to achieve ie . reduction of greenhouse gases. The Commission's proposal actually leaves room for letting a single climate objective run the transition to a low-carbon society."
