Internal workshop for CERE in an alpine scenery of the small village of Ammarnäs, situated in the Swedish mountains.

The meeting is held at Vindelfjällens Research Station, where researchers can gather to create an interdisciplinary meeting place. The aim is to build a knowledge centre for people interested in the relationship among environmentally related issues and developments in society.

The Ulvön Conference on Environmental Economics

The main purpose of the Ulvön Conference on Environmental Economics is to provide a forum for the dissemination of high quality research in environmental economics. Initiated in 1993, a key purpose is to allow PhD students to present their work and interact with a number of leading researchers in the field.

For the seventh time the Chemical Biological Centre (KBC; www.kbc.umu.se) at Umeå University, Sweden, organizes the Renewable Energy symposium. This time it will be organised from 25-27 March 2015.
The meeting aims to strengthen and display our efforts towards research in the renewable energy field that is carried out within several strong research environments and research programmes at Umeå University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences: Solar Fuels, Artificial Leaf Project, Bio4Energy (www.bio4energy.se), BioImprove (www.bioimprove.se), and Trees and Crops for the future (www.tc4f.se).

The 2015 edition of UREM will include a broad and unique spectrum of topics including e.g. Bioeconomy, Advanced biomass fuels, Thermal- and Biochemical conversion technologies, Photovoltaics as well as Natural- and Artificial photosynthesis.

We welcome international participants to our interdisciplinary meeting, as well as PIs, post docs and graduate students of KBC. The poster session and selected poster presentations are important parts of the programme. The meeting has been growing over the years and in 2014 we had more than 200 participants.

the 23 rd Ulvön Conference on Environmental Economics

Ulvön is a small, attractive fishing hamlet, located on the Swedish east-coast, approximately 500 km North of Stockholm. The number of conference participants is typically about 30. A key purpose of the Ulvön meetings is to provide an opportunity for PhD students to interact with leading researchers in their field of specialization.
