Lundgren will speak about; "the energy- and environmental policy's influence on sustainable development and competitiveness in Swedish industry". The results presented stem from a research project funded by the Swedish Energy Agency. The results indicate that environmental policy promotes sustainable development in terms of improved carbon intensity in production. As for influence on competitiveness (Porter hypothesis) the results are mixed; some sectors in the industry seem to become more efficient in their use of energy whilst other sectors seem to reduce their efficiency. Learn more about the results on the session at 1.30-3.00 pm on March 14th where Lundgren speaks. Nordic Energy Outlook is the Swedish Energy Agency's annual conference and takes place in Gothenburg March 13th-15th. Politicians, representatives from energy companies and industries, exercisers of authority, researchers and many others that work with energy and energy related questions will attend the conference.
