CERE had its traditional Ammarnäs Workshop meeting in April.
Essentially, this is a Ph.D, Post-Doc and researchers presentation meeting with widely diverse interests and backgrounds. The Ammarnäs Workshop is held at Vindelfjällen Research Station where researchers work together to create an interdisciplinary meeting place. The aim is to build a knowledge centre for people interested in the relationship among environmentally related issues and developments in society.
About the research station from their webpage: "The station offers the ideal setting for research, meetings, and education. At the foot of the mountain where the Vindelälven River slowly flows by, you will find historic areas surrounded by the Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve, one of the largest protected areas in Europe, with its wealth of bird life, mountains, glaciers, and crystal clear lakes."
