For the third year in a row CERE researchers will travel to the Swedish Mountains in the spring to discuss current research by Ph.D and Post-Doc researchers. The Workshop is held at Vindelfjällen Research Station which is adjacent to Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve, Europe's largest protected area. At this year's meeting Professor Carmelo Leon, an environmental economist from the Universidad de las Palmas de Gran Canaria will be introduced to the Swedish "spring-winter" season.
The preliminary agenda contains presentations covering energy consumption and production, Sweden's "green" innovation, emissions trading permits, and climate change. Other topics on the agenda include an assessment of CERE's first two years as a Center, outdoor winter activities, and team building exercises.
