Göran Bostedt, researcher at CERE, has written a new textbook on Forest and Natural Resource Economics.
The book is aimed at readers who already acquired basic insights in economic micro theory, and would be a good match for a more specialized course in Natural Resource economics. The book is broad in range, and starts with a historical exposition of the field, but also contain a chapter on the mathematical tools that are needed in order to understand and apply the models. The book also contains chapters on biodiversity, nonrenewable and renewable resources, and have a particular chapter dedicated to the forest due to its importance to the Swedish economy and environment.
