For seventeen weeks, Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics will present their work in relation to the 17 Sustainable Development goals. For the first two goals, #1-No poverty and #2-Zero Hunger, we learn more about some of the research by CEREs Göran Bostedt.
#1- No poverty. With capacity building as the most direct-action business schools can do in mind, USBE have applied to be part in a project for partnership between University of Rwanda (UR) and Swedish universities. If the project is approved, it will be a small piece towards assisting Rwanda to reach its own ambition to become a middle-income country. #2 – Zero Hunger. Göran Bostedt has published a paper in the journal Food Security. The paper studies the question of food diversity and malnutrition and the role of agroforestry extension services, i.e. knowledge spread, transfer and development. Read the paper “Agroforestry extension and dietary diversity – an analysis of the importance of fruit and vegetable consumption in West Pokot, Kenya” 2016, Volume 8 (1), 271–284.
