CERE goes to Oulu to talk about energy economics

A group of CERE members travelled last week, from the 16th to the 18th of September, to Oulu (Finland) to participate in a workshop together with the University of Oulu and the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE).

The presentations of researchers from both groups revolve around i) energy consumption behaviour (residential, industrial), ii) market dynamics under uncertainty (energy storage, hydropower, electric vehicles), iii) climate policy preferences and justice, and iv) circular economy models and economic simulations.

During the event, the opportunity to create a new North-Bothnian alliance focused on covering research about Energy, Climate Change and Circular Economy in the Nordic region was discussed. The possibility of preparing joint project proposals and research stays, among others, was highly welcomed among participants.

Thanks to the University of Oulu and SYKE for hosting us and all the organisation of the workshop! We are looking forward to a near future meeting in Sweden!
