We congratulate Pedro M. Obregón Santander on the successful defence of his thesis “Urban Forest and Green Space Management Along the Urban-Rural Continuum: Behavioral Drivers and Spatial Patterns” at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) on September 22nd, 2026.
Supervised by Camilla Widmark, Adan Martínez Cruz and Chaitanya Suárez Rojas, with Professor Cecil Konijnendijk from the University of British Columbia serving as the opponent, Pedro has now earned the doctoral degree, the highest academic degree awarded.
Undoubtedly, this research makes a valuable contribution to applied economics and policy in natural resources.
